Swedish…Swedish massage focuses on the circulatory and immune systems relieving stress and increasing oxygen flow to the muscles. This will give greater joint mobility and greater sense of well being. Pressure ranges from light to medium.
Deep Tissue…Deep Tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of the muscle tissue, tendons and ligaments using slow movements and deep pressure. This lengthens the tissue and allows blood, lymph and nerves to circulate again. Some soreness may follow the next day.
Shiatsu…Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage. Deep pressure is applied along the acupressure points and invisible meridian lines. Hands, arms, feet and legs are used to stretch, balance and energize the body. This helps balance energy flow and strengthens internal organs. Shiatsu is done on table. This massage is done fully clothed. Please wear loose clothing.
Sports…Sports massage helps prevent injuries, soothe sore muscles and speeds up muscle recovery times. Sports massage stimulates blood flow to strained muscles leaving you with more range of motion and flexibility.
Lomi Lomi…This is an ancient Hawaiian technique. Elbows and forearms are used to create rhythmic movements that will leave you feeling relaxed and inspired.
Pregnancy…This massage focuses on areas of soreness giving a sense of relaxation and well being. Sidelining positioning is used with supportive cushions. Helps to relieve backaches, cramps and swelling just to name a few. Not recommended in first trimester.
Reflexology…Pressure is applied to specific points on the feet to release blocked energy, relieve stress and boost circulation and restore balance
Cupping…Cupping is an ancient Chinese technique where plastic/glass cups are placed on skin to create a suction. A rubber pump or glass cup is used to create a vacuum that causes the skin to rise and redden. Skin may turn red but is normal again within 10 days. Cupping helps increase blood, lymph and nutrients to painful muscle knots and helps smooth scar tissue. You will have better range of motion with an over all sense of well being.
